Myasthenia Gravis

Losing control of your own body and muscles is not easy, but this rare debilitating condition called myasthenia gravis can be helped with our non-invasive Regenerative Cellular Therapy.

Myasthenia gravis is characterized by the fluctuating weakness of the skeletal or voluntary muscles (muscles that are under your control). Those suffering from this disorder often face frustration due to the inability to control their legs, arms of facial features.

WHAT IS IT?

Myasthenia gravis is a result of an autoimmune disorder. This means that the body’s own immune system attacks healthy tissues and cells – and in this case specifically, the neurotransmitter substance acetylcholine. When this substance is attacked, communication between the nerves and muscles is disrupted, causing the loss of muscle control.

MYASTHENIA GRAVIS CAUSES

The initial cause of relapsing myasthenia gravis is unknown, but certain viral or bacterial proteins might be the reason for the autoimmune problem.
